Judge Rian Radtke has spent nearly five months asking Trempealeau County to tell the Legislature it wants a second circuit court branch. In May, the Wisconsin Court System released the study the county had been waiting for. Its tables put Trempealeau’s caseload per judge first in the state.
Analysis
A Trempealeau County jury convicted Gieck of reckless homicide and two firearm offenses in Kyle Dahl’s death. The Pioneer estimates 30 to 40 years of initial confinement, but the most important sentencing recommendations are not public.
