Last month getting rid of FLOCK cameras in Trempealeau County seemed impossible. At that time none of the candidates for Sheriff pledged to remove the three cameras owned by the county. Those of us for whom this issue is a priority were brainstorming for an answer. Then it hit us – Andy Parrish for Sheriff.

A group of us did research into write-in candidates and how to get on the ballot in November. Our best option was to register as a write-in under the Libertarian Party. With 200 +/- properly cast ballots Andy would qualify for the November ballot as a candidate with his name printed on the ballot. He would be running against whoever won the primary as the Republican candidate. Our movement could become viral in Trempealeau County.

Then it hit – does Andy Parrish want to be Sheriff of Trempealeau County? Is he being drafted? Andy believes the Constitution is the law and Flock is unconstitutional. There go the cameras. Victory at last. We pledged to fight for the win in November and support him thereafter.

There were lots of messages, calls and meetings. After Kent Johnson's fundraiser in Blair, he decided to change his position on Flock. Kent listened to citizens and did his own research to make this decision. It feels good to have a candidate who listens and supports the citizens he will represent as sheriff. This frees up time for Andy Parrish to do his work to protect our constitutional rights.
