Trempealeau County is looking for two residents willing to serve on its ethics board, which reviews conflict-of-interest questions and complaints involving county officials and employees.
The citizen seats are open to any county resident who is a registered voter and does not hold county office or county employment. The workload is light: the board meets quarterly in Whitehall, and only more often when a complaint is filed.
Applications are available through the county clerk’s office at the courthouse in Whitehall and are due by the end of July. The county board chair makes the appointments, subject to confirmation by the full board, likely at its August meeting.
